The power battery industry is entering a period of large-scale retirement. By 2030, the volume of retired power batteries in China is expected to reach approximately 3.5 million tons, representing enormous market potential. Chinese recycling enterprises have entered a new stage of high-quality, large-scale, and compliant development, laying a solid foundation for industrial upgrading and international expansion. With growing overseas demand for advanced recycling technologies and green supply chains, as well as China’s clear policies on the import of recycled lithium battery black mass, unprecedented opportunities for technological innovation and international cooperation are emerging.

Against this backdrop, the 4th China International Power Battery Recycling Summit will be held in Shanghai on April 20–21, 2026.
